CPU MS Spikes started this league

For the first time ever in POE, I have freezes and lag. I've got about 2k hours or so in the game and that's from playing several years of leagues. Mind you, I can handle almost any other game at max settings, just fine. It's just POE causing issues.

I checked F1 when I noticed strange issues with performance and found out that my CPU is randomly spiking. Never had that before. It sometimes happens when nothing is around me and I'm just still in an area. I know it's not my CPU at fault, because it doesn't happen on much higher end games.

I just wanted to make the staff aware of this issue and I hope it gets fixed soon, because this sucks. Apparently, many other players are experiencing similar issues along with longer loading times as well.

My game settings are the same as they have ever been. Long ago, in a POE far far away, I found out that regardless of PC specs, you should run your game on lowest settings for optimal performance. So I did. I didn't notice a different in performance, but I forgot about it. I found out that my performance increases when I up my Shadow Quality from Low to Ultra... which is weird. I've fiddled with my other settings, to no avail. Multithreading is enabled and disabling it did nothing.

I was wondering if there was a fix incoming, because this makes the game nigh unplayable at times. Like I said before, increasing my Shadow Quality from Low to High seemed to help with the issue a little.
