Soulrend of the Spiral - Still bugged - Not shotgunning when directly inside an enemy.
Interesting, this means multiple projectiles from VFB and Soulrend of the Spiral can hit the same target, and my understanding of how such projectiles work is incorrect. There are several projectile firing methods, and after reading Zambash‘s reply and some thought I realised that "in a spiral" method is a combination of "in a circle" (Sire of Shards) and "sequantially" (Barrage) methods. And yes, since projectiles still fired in succession (with delay), it makes sense for them to be able to shotgun.

Dot debuff probably still won't stack though, so I cannot see intended usage of this skill. Unless you wander in the middle of every pack on purpose, at most 1-2 projectiles per cast will ever hit something, rest fly into empty space behind you. Basic version gives more reliable clear with GMP, and single target is bad in both cases.

I am doing a hitbased CwC(Cyclone + Soulrend of the Spiral) build with Nimis.
Returning projectiles(but not extra projectiles of Sniper's Mark) of this specific version of the skill can hit the same target reliably. I've tested this thoroughly and my build is currently performing as expected. Mana sustain is a big issue, but if you can work around this the skill has excellent dps. " Heh, lvl 1 cyclone is good idea :) In 3.23 GGG directly nerfed cyclone as a base for CoC, deleted radius of base version and deleted movement speed on tumult version. Solution: everyone runs lvl 1, lol. Or puts on stampede boots. |

I use Warden asc without gems in body/boots for x2 ES on body and 30% movement speed on boots.
Don't forget you got More Movement Speed on the base gem now(Cyclone, 1% per 2% Quality). It is pretty fast. |

There is a projectile deadzone for any of the non-forward projectiles.
Here I can stand inside Kuduku and literally none of the projectiles are causing hits. ![]() |
