Cruel lab font ate my skill gem

I had three choices and chose to add exp to a gem. I put the gem in the font, chose the add 3 million exp and pressed craft, and the gem and all the text disappeared. It was a level 10 firestorm. I pressed alt to see if it was on the ground. Definetly not in my inventory.
