How much is 100 credits excactly?

If i get the bronze support pack I get 100 in store credits, but how much do cosmetic items in the store cost?
"They give you this, but you pay for that"
Well, there's only two items for sale right now

Extra Character slot (although I hear you get 24) - 30 points
Extra Stash page (you get 4 by default, shared by all characters on that ladder) - 30 points
do you get to name each character? or do they all use the same name as your account?
"They give you this, but you pay for that"
Each character is they own name - you don't even need a character the same name as your account.
24 Character slots per account is standard. Chris has made clear his desire to minimise accounts to manage rather than charge for extra character slots with a low standard offer.

Quite a few of us aren't 100% convinced this is the best course of action (there's money to be made in character slots when you only offer a few, as many MMOs do show), but it's his party, we just bring the booze and munchies. :)
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.
To be honest... if the game is free, there's nothing stopping people from making multiple accounts just to get more characters.

That's 24 slots spread over every league. Sure someone who sticks to default league will probably have slots to spare, but players that make use of the contests, ladder leagues, alternate gameplay leagues (eg cutthroat/ironman) will surely feel the cap even at the seemingly high number that it's set at. I know I've hit the cap multiple times just playing in one league.

Also the thing to remember that is even though accounts are free, only characters on your main account will have access to all your cool shop items unless you re-buy them for each account. I could see people being far less likely to buy other cash shop items if they could only use them on 6 or so of their characters.

Because there are 6 classes in the game, I think 8 would be the perfect number for a default maximum. You can then have one of each, but you can also have a few extras for screwing around/having fun in leagues. I dont find it fair, or "right" for a F2P game to give you to many limits as a free player, but 24 slots is just... to much...

Although, if they didn't give us so many most of the people unwilling to pay for slots will just make multiple accounts anyway. So, shopping for extra slots isnt going to make them that much money.

Cosmetics items, and being a good company will bring them allot farther then selling anything they can think of I would bet.

EDIT: also, because this is a beta thats more then likely why we have so many slots. I dont think it will be like this in the full version, they are most likely trying to encourage players to try new builds in order to find more glitch's.

This is the same amount of character slots that will carry over to open beta and the official release. As other have said, 24 isn't an overabundance when you consider the amount of league options that will be available, and GGG doesn't want us to have to delete a character every time we want to make another of the same class.

Even though you could just make another account for more slots, that discourages cash shop purchases. Very few players would be willing to purchase credits on multiple accounts just for cosmetic items. It's probably a better assumption to think players would buy more cash shop perks if they could use them on all of their characters, which means keeping them on one account. GGG doesn't want us to have to pay extra money to do this, which means giving us sufficient character slots from the start.
Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.
First in the credits!
Actually, the bronze support pack gives you 500 credits.
