Terrible performance on 3.23

I have had some luck fixing my issues. Here are the steps I took.

1. Open a file explorer, type in %appdata% hit enter. Find the "Path of Exile"
folder and delete it.
2. Open Documents, find "My Games" open it, find the "Path of Exile" folder, and delete it.

Be warned this is going to delete all your settings, keybinds, filters, etc.

you don't need to delete everything. you can delete only the shader cache folder, which contains almost everything in the roaming folder anyway

Performance has been terrible for a LONG time (both client side and server), now it is just so bad the client either crashes or freezes completely.

Hello after struggling with stuttering on my laptop for a long time. Deleting the path of exile folder in %appdata% fixed all my issues.

For the love of god fix this game. Full of problems.

Happy to see I'm not alone. Been playing since Beta, can't recall it ever this bad. 3.23 makes my $4K pc feel like a Pentium II from the 90's. Fix it GGG!!!

Sad to hear more people are experiencing these issues, but glad to know another old head is still around, and remembers how bad things were at the start. It's terrible that it's so bad now, that you can't even play with a modern-day PC. One can only hope that changes soon enough, but...

GGG is unable to fix these issues, EU servers have been completely cooked all league long, and they don't even want to talk about any of that

I'm so glad I didn't spend any money during this league, and just bought the ultimate edition of last epoch. All this time I thought my internet/ISP was the issue, and the root of my latency problems in poe, and guess what? Ping is smooth as butter in LE, while poe is basically unplayable during prime hours. @ me when ggg fixes the game, peace out

Same here, it's a big disapointement to upgrade my pc and realise i still cant play poe, no idea why it's getting worst league after league, but i dont have 4k to buy a pc.
So.. it was my last try, have fun guys t's a great game, and i hope they'll solve your issue

same issues here... shouldn't GGG feel ashamed looking at D4 on this matter ?! I feel angry !
