League mechanic is impossible in maps

Did a scoured T2 map boss got empowered by just the yellow seed and I lost all 6 portals on the boss. I was well geared on a 5 link, 2.9k life and capped suppression and every spell was multi proj covered pretty much the entire arena and every hit took 90% of my life

That's with capped resists and max suppression. I am honestly not sure how we are meant to do this league mechanic

Was this actually tested at lower levels it seems absolutely insane

In the forest seems fine but the whisps basically make all bosses hasted and tanker and more deadly than 80% deli monsters

Please look at the tuning if enemies

yea, I was having game issues, so I was just watching twitch streamers play the mechanic in early maps when I was taking a break and most of them seem to be skipping it. It's just way too rippy to be any fun... I guess if you have an end-game character you might be able to manage the mechanic though......

If the league mechanic is too rippy to enjoy, I'll just play standard since I never do the challenges anyway. So it's like, what's the point? lol....I know most people do the challenges though.
I haven't ever wanted to skip a league mechanic before but the empowered mobs hit so hard that I can't even live in a tier 1-2 white map just like you mentioned. Not even worth the frustration.

Indeed. We are again in for a new round of beta testing.

This time the fixes are gonna take way longer than before since not only lots of challenges will be bugged + the usual base game glitches but now we also have new ascendancy classes and a shit ton of new gems that are likely bugged as well.

I may try this new league 3-4 weeks after launch, then it's maybe 7.5/10 playable.

It's broken strong, during campaign too. Juiced mobs are insane, though in the forest also you can run into tons of mobs that are 10 times stronger than campaign content and bosses. That are impossible, so why does it even exist? No one in their right mind would be interacting with it.

I can't imagine a newer player trying to play through the game. (without following some meta guide, and what is even the point then, you are just clicking buttons like a bot with no thought)

And i'm playing melee... Game makes me question why, once again. 90% of mechanics that are obnoxiously strong are destructive to melee, but basically irrelevant to almost every other build. It's like most rare abilities are designed to destroy melee specifically.
I got Piety the Abomination (during campaign) buffed with all 3 colors and couldn't kill her no matter what. I had no portals and could try as many times as I want, but she was insanesly strong. I had my rad sentinel, purity sentinels, skeles, zombies and rolling magma socketed in reverberation rod (virtual 6-link) left from early acts. This amount of combined damage kills regular Piety in a second. But it wasn't enough to outdamage her regen, resists and whatnot. I tried several times and then had to reload the area.

Couldn't agree more! What is the purpose of scaling league mechanic so impossible, that after first 2-3 encounters I don't even bother and insta skip all Wildwoods. Trying once per act if something changed but... My leveling char can shred everything in second in maps but can't do _any_ harm to mobs in Wildwood.

Perhaps it should be gated behind something like "Wildwood is accessible after one shot any uber pinnacle boss (area level 85+)". This proves you're eligible to access league content.

My sugesstion for 3.24 - league name "Nothingness" - there is virtually no new league content - aka "Affliction Vibes".

I posted this on another thread, but this is probably better here, but I was saying that I've been searching the forums and you tube videos looking for someone posting good things about the league, and I literally can't find any positive comments. Usually there are a few people that post about loving every league, even the ones that aren't that great, but I can't find anyone saying anything positive about affliction.

I absolutely loved TOTA, as even when it was very difficult, the rewards made it worth it. Not so with affliction, unless you have to really go to T16 maps, but I'm sure the monsters will have scaled up too much to beat them anyway...

I imagine that in a week we will get the "Here's what we are working on" post from GGG, since they don't know how to do things right the first time. They just need new game testers or something!

It really is very frustrating to play. You kill everything in the map super easily, dont take any damage and suddenly you just get oneshot out of the blue because some random blue or yellow mob has 2 or more of the affliction buffs. Also in the Wildwoods themselves. All mobs super easy and suddenly there comes a blue mob and just takes no damage and almost oneshots me. Not even the bosses in the Wildwoods are that strong, at least the ones I found til now. This gives me Archnemesis Flashbacks all over again, but at least its skippable. Still I'd like to complete my Ascendency Tree some time in the near future ...
