On kill effects from Tincture not triggering with Toxic Rain?

I tried using both a Gain 29 mana on Kill, and 11% chance for Onslaught on killing blow tincture, and neither of them are proccing at all when mobs die to the DoT of Toxic Rain. I'm pretty sure every other on kill effect in the game works just fine with Toxic Rain, not sure why tinctures wouldn't

I thought they specifically said the tinctures would work with Ballistas and stuff.

I get the phasing effect on kill when I self cast the Toxic Rain, so it can't be because it's a dot, I don't think?

It works - ballistas gain phasing on kill, not player.

Using caustic arrow poison ballista here. I get the same issue with the mana on kill effect, it’s not working.

Having to get the kill specifically from the attack on the weapon seems odd to me. Doubly so when it’s an explicit on a tincture that provides poison, bleed or ignite effect.

Yeah, in the same spot here... It would be so sad if this is intended, it would totally wreck my build. I hope it's a bug.

I have the onslaught on kill node and I gain onslaught from kills while using ballistas. The verbiage on the tincture is the same as the node so I don't know why it wouldn't work on the tincture.

ggg can we get a fix for this? I just paid 2d for a "headhunter" tincture and it doesn't work with my poison ballista build?

If this behavior is intended, why did GGG go out of their way to ensure players that tinctures work with ballistas? It would be pretty scummy to say that and only be referring to the implicit mods of the tinctures...
