Frostblink Totems getting stuck
In close areas frostblink totems stop doing anything when they are close to a wall.
Possibly something related to targeting and minimum blink distance. When using frostblink myself if there is a wall in the way I blink a shorter distance, that does not seem to work for totems. Although if you are right next to a wall you can't "blink in place" either. To add to this, as shown by the clip linked by vankeris there are two main issues:
1. When targetting within Frostblink's minimum target range the totem will not cast, making melee range enemies unable to be cast on. When combined with totems targeting the closest enemy this issue is compounded as even while surrounded by enemies the totem will sit idle. - This would be solved by having the skill teleport the minimum distance when targeting within the minimum range like when cast by the player. 2. Enemies standing next to terrain (or worse in a corner) can't be cast on when the totem is within minimum cast range of the wall. This makes the enemy effectively invulnerable to the totem and 'traps' the totem. - Potential fix would be have totem cast 180 degrees from enemy direction when there is not sufficient space behind enemy to teleport. This would 'free' the totem in 99% of cases, for cases where totem is wedged (i.e. thin pathways) casting at 90 and 270 degrees could be used. |
