[Question] Hexblast of Contradiction and Inquisitor's "Inevitable Judgement" node

Do we know how Hexblast of Contradiction will interact with the Inquisitor's "Critical strikes ignore enemy monster elemental resistances"?
Will it bring monsters resistance to Hexblast's damage (from crit) to 0, provided their physical and chaos damage resistances are also 0? Or will it have no effect? Last bumped on Dec 5, 2023, 5:08:53 PM

Ignoring resistances does not change resistance values, it means no resistances are applied to that damage at all. That skips right past anything that would change which resistance would be applied, because none of them are.

It'd hit the monsters chaos resistance in that case, probably.

" No, if elemental resistances are higher than chaos resistance, and you ignore elemental resistances, you still are resisted by elemental resistances as the highest, which is treated as 0 for the actual damage calculation, and discards penetration.
