i can reliably stack 300 trauma stacks x 4% more damage & increased attack speed=

1200% MORE damage & attack speed


considering the new basic boneshatter, the real dps loss is devastating, since i can only reach 84 trauma stacks.

if i calculate that each stack gives 7% more damage multi (588% more dmg) (quality) and drop attack speed bonus,

i do like 10,3 mil dps instead of 89.

that is effectively a 88,4% dps loss.



the alternative gems that were shown recently, clearly demonstrate, that the devs wanted to deliberately add insult to injury.


who cares about stacking 10 trauma stacks with 20% more damage and loosing them in a cycle? that averages out at 100% more dps...
- take out the 10 stack limit, then it might get interesting - balance out with self damage
- could become the "fast ramping boneshatter"


who wants to stun enemies?
- give us back the attack speed for the love of god, we want to KILL, not stun!



if you guys cut the attack speed from divergent, you basically break the late game potential of this build completely.

while other skills have projectiles to scale and basically ANY other skill can increase damage without any penalty,

i dont understand, why would you dare to break one of the few melee and deep delve builds?

it is so hard to actually make decent damage because you have to increase your tankyness.
no other skill has this penalty, but plenty of other skills got insane scaling opportunities.

there are plenty of other builds that can do over a billion dps, while boneshatter is very unlikely to reach that without some broken new mechanic in a new league.


guys, please reconsider your choices.

the current display is showing me, that you are killing my favourite build.
you took mantra of flames, nerfed immortal call.
now you want to get rid of it entirely?
for what did you design the skill (original & new) in the first place?

PoE 1 is the best. PoE 2 is something.
I do not think its quite as doomed as you state. I personally do not like the "idea" of spamming skill effect duration, rather get some power behind the hits.

Example, this is my ideal Boneshatter Jugg, with no tattoos.
Almost got my actual character to that level of gearing, before swapping.

Removing Helmet Enchant & Quality on all gems (Which is not really how its going to go, due to the new quality on gems & new gems in general), it goes from 127m @ 103 Trauma to 59.7m @ 48 Trauma (Added 48% More damage from new default boneshatter)

This is again, without any new quality gems / Supports or anything like that. Just dont build 50000 trauma stack boneshatter and youll be fine
melee in poe is in a bad spot
i started boneshatter and trauma is like the worst mechanic (but the only viable it seems) melee could have ever gotten. why dont casters and other range character get mechanics like brainshock or something where they do more dmg the more stacks they get (make it infinitely stackable so you can kill yourself with it) but also take more damage with increased stacks

like bruh ... make melee good again holy cow ...

I like Bone Shatterer of Carnage. With Warlock Penance Mark, you can effectively and safely Shotgun Bosses. 3 additional target can easily get with mastery and glove.

Players used Boneshatter to zoom through sanctum in the gauntlet early on. Boneshatter is effectively buffed until much later on in the game.
League start Boneshatter, clear atlas, get voidstones, reroll into something else that scales better into oblivion.
Problem solved.

i understand, that you prefer your way.

now if going deep delve, you are really short on anything, skills, gems, etc
i had no space to include crit.

i still hate the devs for buffing builds that push corrupt mirror shops of TFT while fucking and shitting on everybody else, but especially melee.


if BS doesnt get another scaling tag, it will remain a shadow of its former existence.

it really seems to me that the designer who made that decision had no idea what he was doing, or he is a spiteful piece of shit.

in crucible i built a crit staff version which could handle 170 trauma stacks while doing over 350 million dps. yes, 2H weapon.
