Raise Zombie Of Falling - Area Tag?
Any chance we could get the area tag on the new Raise Zombie of Falling? Mostly so we can use spell cascade support with it for CWDT builds. 1 vs 3 minions. 1 zombie per trigger doesn't help much. It does have "dealing minion attack damage in an area" in the description and it seems designed to intentionally trigger on death effects. Or is that wishful thinking?

He even said in the video, it hits in a "Area", so yes, it will get the Tag.

Its one of the gems they already posted. It doesnt have area tag, only spell and minion.

I had the same thought as you, Wudy. I got excited at the on death effects triggered bit. As it is now I don’t think it will work for cwdt. It currently has the same tags as the old raise zombie and that doesn’t work with spell cascade, after some quick testing. I hope others aren’t being misled into a bad league start. Either them if I’m right, or me if I’m wrong.

i too am wondering this myself. ive been trying to look everywhere and no information on this at all. please we need someone from the staff to let us know if spell cascade and increased aoe modifiers will work for this spell

Why would it get an area tag? You "raise" a zombie mid air; your raising has nothing to do with area. The zombie falls, and the zombie does damage in an area. The zombie's falling attack will have the area tag. The zombie is clearly an independent minion since it triggers a minion death.

we think it should get an area tag because of the flavor text. it does damage in an area. and it also has no zombie limit so + to number of zombies wouldnt work (we think). we also want to think spell cascade would work on it but again we dont know for sure

Without Anomalous Minion Speed, (if it isn't added as a transfigured gem) it makes it difficult to get the skele duration to work with wardloop. Allowing spell cascade to apply would be an interesting way to change how wardloop works.
Also, on a side note, it would be absolutely hilarious if increased AoE made you drop thicc bois. |
