Minion Instability Crit

If you give a minion added flat crit chance, like with the new Fresh Meat support, can the explosion from Minion Instability also crit? According to PoB it can, but I#m not sure if that's not an oversight.

It does benefit from minion stats, so it's possible that it can crit too. If you could do some testing, I am sure it would be highly appreciated.
