Ahuana's Bite chill effect does not affect Skitterbots chill aura

The quiver does simply state chill effect is increased, so why wouldnt it work with the chill produced by my skitterbot?

Linking skitterbot to bonechill support increases the chill-effect from 10 to 12% but equiping/unequiping Ahuana's bite does not increas the chill effect.

Support gems can generally modify the effects of a minion's skill if linked to that minion's skill gem. Skitterbots are minions.

Modifiers to your chill effect/effect of non-damaging ailments will not affect the magnitude of the ailments your minions provide.

Secondly, Ahuana's Bite does not simply state "Chill effect is increased". Its chill-related modifiers say "Enemies chilled by your hits" and "Chill Enemies as though dealing more damage". Both of these modifiers require that the chill be applied by a hit. They won't work for things like chilling ground or other chilling areas.
