DirectX 11 vs. DirectX 12 after 3.22.2 on old hardware

Hi,
I have quite an old PC (i5-4590, 16 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 RAM, GTX 760 2GB) which so far has carried me through this game since I started playing in Perandus League.

Over the years I started noticing a decrease in performance but the 3.22 patch made it incredibly bad. Dynamic Resolution kicking in (below 20 FPS) became so frequent that it was impossible to focus on gameplay.

I have always used DX11 since DX12 made no difference in FPS but caused some weird texture glitch. With Vulkan enabled the game won't even launch.

Yesterday I noticed that the in-game performance metrics showed that my GPU is bottlenecking performance. It seemed that with DX11 the game was more demanding on the GPU than CPU.

I didn't observe this behaviour before the performance patch. Out of curiosity I changed the renderer to DX12. Now I no longer have performance problems and the texture glitch I had previously is gone. The in-game metrics show the GPU and CPU are performing well together, no more bottlenecking. With DX 12 I noticed that the game is more demanding on the CPU than with DX11. Overall my FPS have improved slightly but the annoying resolution loss is finally gone. Frames are way more stable.

So, if you are running PoE on old hardware and have the same issues try DirectX 12.

DX11 currently seems to be working bad even with new hardware...
I tried to switch to it just out of curiosity like a week ago and it was much worse than both vulkan and DX12.

FPS was very unstable and jumpy and there were some very weird micro stutterings happening quite often (even when not loading shaders)... I don't know what they have done to it, or maybe GGG didn't do anything to DX11 renderer but then it was the "performance"/ particle rendering patch that has destroyed DX11.

Anyways, it's kinda both sad an hilarious how GGG's "performance patches" constantly make the performance worse and less stable.
New mute system is terrible - no trade...
