Where to go after main story?

Hi. As per title - what should I do after I finished the main story?
Atlas, Sanctum or heists?
I did a bit of Atlas and few heists already and have plenty of heist contracts.
Atlas-wise I can't seem to find any maps over level 2 but I may buy some.
Are all of those areas similar difficulty?

Atlas is the main end game.


But

If you are so rich to just buy contract and blueprint and chain-play it, sell the loots and buy more contract and blueprint.



Sanctum need specific build, which once again, if you can do it without fails, you can just play Sanctum

They are not profitable to me to a level that i just block this league mechanic

The difficulty of the content (modifiers on the map/heist contract aside) can be gathered from the area level.

For heist contracts and sanctum tomes you can see the area level directly in the tooltip.
Maps don't show it on the item, but a tier 1 map is area level 68, a tier 2 map 69 and so on.

Obviously different builds are better at different mechanics and playstyle plays a role too, so the experienced difficulty will vary.

I'd suggest just trying everything out and then choosing what is most fun for you. (or what makes you the most currency if you play trade and are into that sort of thing :) )

Some end-game is gated behind atlas. Like Delve that you need to recharge sulphite once a while

Technically you can just buy Incursion temple, but once again, if you don't, you need to do Alva mission in map


There are no that many alt end game , quite a lot still link to atlas (map)


You can chain Blighted Map, expedition logbook, Simulacrum, but it need a end-game build and unlikely you can just start straight away from Act 10




So, to sum up. You need to play Atlas (map) as main end-game content until you have a build and currency to chain -play those mechanic that decoupled with map
