Some life flask mods disable the ability to use them while on full life
Most life flask mods allow for the use of life flasks when on full life.
There are however instances where flask won't be used just because it has a mod that doesn't allow it to happen. Examples of a flask that can be used while on full life: Examples of a flask that cannot be used while on full life: (this particular prefix and all its tiers brick the ability to use it) The fact that just some mods for an unknown reasons are disabled from being used while on full life really messes up pathfinder's perma life flask ascendancy. Pathfinders using Master Surgeon should be allowed to use life flasks at any point by default no matter the life flask mods. EDIT: Makes me wonder if it's due to the weird wording on that mod. All other flask mods have to do with the "amount" recovered or plain recovery, while only this one has "increased LIFE recovered". EDIT 2: Adding a suffix to the flask with the aforementioned prefix that e.g. grants immunity to x while used (despite not having that type of ailment on you) unbricks the flask. As an example, this flask can now be used under any conditions while on full life: Please have a look into this. Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris. " You have this backwards. Most flask mods do not enable the use of life flasks when on full life. There are however instances where the flask will be used just because it has a mod that does allow it to happen. In order for a life flask to be usable while your life is full, it must have an effect that is not reliant on flask duration. Example include: Flask removes a debuff (removes curses, immunity to ailment if used while ailment) Flask recovery applies to minions (works if you have minions, including skitterbots) You have the Flask Mastery "Recover 4% of life when you use a flask" |

" Master Surgeon says nothing about using the flask at full life. |

" Thanks, I can read. But you blatantly ignored everything else in my first post. Really glad my reply was sent blank as well. Let's see if it's sent empty again. " Absolutely not true. As I wrote earlier, these mods enable flask usage on full life even if they do not remove corresponding ailments. Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris.

" It's true that these modifiers allow the flask to be used at full life, and it's inaccurate to say that certain modifiers disable the ability to use them at full life--because even if you annuled/scoured that modifier, the flask would not suddenly be usable at full life. Granted, apparently it's not entirely true, since the suffix for immunity to Hinder/Maim doesn't let you use it at full life. The difference may be due to leftovers from the old flask system. I'm having a little trouble finding documentation on it, but Life/Mana flasks had suffixes like "Remove <ailment>", while utility flasks had "Immunity to <ailment>". Utility flasks still have "Immunity to <ailment>" though those effects now also reduce flask duration, while Life/Mana flasks instead have "Grant immunity to <ailment> if used while <ailment>". They may have retained the "Removes <ailment>" behavior that the old modifiers shared with "Removes curses". The "Immunity to Maim/Hinder if used while Maimed/Hindered" might have been overlooked for this behavior due to not being based on a preexisting modifier. Setting aside that case, what I said is true to the best of my knowledge, and how life/mana flasks have worked for quite a while. Removing curses/ailments is an effect not using the flask's duration, whether or not you have curses/ailments on you. Flask recovery being granted to minions is an effect not using the flask's duration, but only if you have minions to receive the recovery. It is a reasonable bug that the "Remove curses" and "Immunity to <ailment> if used while <ailment>" modifiers allow you to use the flask at full health without applicable curses/ailments present. Alternatively, the "Immunity to Maim/Hinder" version not working at full life unless maimed/hindered could be seen as a bug instead. However... Master Surgeon not allowing any life flask to be used at full life, regardless of modifiers, does not seem to be interpreted as a bug by GGG. From a gameplay standpoint, if you want to use life flasks with other suffixes, I can only suggest the mentioned Flask Mastery. It will work with any life flask. |
