Game not starting since last windows 10 update

Hello there,

Since today, after late night windows update, poe refuses to start.
Launcher starts, checks for update, and closes immediatly without anything going on. No error message, no background process, nothing.

What i have already done :
- Computer reboot : Done, game still not starting
- Check for game repair : nothing detected
- Uninstall game and réinstall it via windows uninstaller tool : done, and game still doesn't want to run
- Uninstall game via Ccleaner and reinstall, with launcher run as admin : done, game still doesn't wanna run.

Config :
Windows 10 version 22H2 (19045.3570)
Proc : Intel 9600kf
MB : Z390gaming
Ram : 32gb Corsair vengeance ..
GPU : nvidia 2070s ...
stockage : NVME 256gb (main disk with both winshit and poe installed)


I'm out of idea, and wanted to see if someone got any idea to solve this issue before i go for a format c:

Reverted last windows update, game starts again.
Dunno if you can do something bout that issue, but i'll keep windows updates far from my computer for a while.

If you have time later, create a system restore and do a windows update. Usually it has to do with audio, you can check log on PoE aswell. I also know simple trick how to fix it. After windows update if your PoE doesn't launch. Disable all sound devices, launch poe, enable sound again. This magic solves this problem :)

If you see in log this(then this trick will help):
[CRIT Client 8992] [EXCEPTION] Failed to init FMOD system. Error code 51

i had similar thing with steam client today.. only dx11 wuold start and the others just closed

turns out my nvidia driver was too old

win10 with all the newest updates

My nvidia drivers are up to date, just as realtek hd things (sounds drivers)
I actually dunno what happenned, but thanks for the first reply, i'll try this next time :)

The solution as find, as i needed my daily dose of PoE, was to rollback before the install of the last update.

And works quite well.

Guess what, auto update from winshit made it again ...

This is the security update chich makes the game not running anymore : "October 10, 2023—KB5031356 (OS Builds 19044.3570 and 19045.3570)"

Dunno if you ggg's can do something to get rid bout that, but it's kinda rly annoying to have to downgrade windows to be able to play ...

And this time, it's impossible to me to downgrade the version as winshit installer shows me an error while trying.

Okay, news :
New winshit update this day, fixed their dunno how to call shitty kernel changes.

All fixed, game is starting again !

Let's go, got mirrors to farm !

Each time i update windows make me go back to the state where poe can't start. Same error as always kernel thing.

I get used to uninstall last windows update, but even after a format c: issue is still here.

kinda annoying tbh

Plus, now i'm not able to get which updates fucks it all, so game isn't starting at all, and i'm totally stucked...
