Goliath of night, Titanic shell, and Chieftain Health

I have enough armour, PDR, and Phys to ele to survive a hit from the Minotaur. Why can Every Goliath of night 1 shot be with basic attacks at rank 700?

Titanic shells can soft lock the mechanic with their defensive skill. You KNOW they are OP because you made them twice as expensive as other units. Their ability should either give damage reduction to the totems or have a duration that they cannot immediately recast. ALSO they should NOT be able to buff their own totem.

Me and my 2 friends are running as a 3 man party in maps. We can kill/phase guardians in t16 maps in 10 seconds or less. Liches dont even get a chance to act. And Pinnacle bosses are maybe 20 seconds of DPS. And YET, when I dragged them into a tota to see how tanky the warchiefs are, We were just standing there for a solid minute and just gave up because she still had half her hp.




GGG. this isnt something anyone should HAVE to tell you, but bigger number isn't fun. (On enemies) You put so many interesting mechanics to work around in tota, I legitimately enjoy it. But it doesnt seem like a league I should need a t1 build in both DPS and defense to be able to play

How come the league is so old yet there are still so many people who don't know how to play it?
? You jump around using utility and slows to keep enemies from participating. But if you could read youd see I'm tilted from being one shot by a mob, being forced to deal millions of damage suddenly because turtle has immuned every totem including their own, and a side note about the ridiculous level of tankiness of war chiefs.

And to answer your question, its because of assholes like you that condescend instead of giving advice.

If you knew what you were doing you wouldn't have any issues at rank 700. Or rank 2,000.

Goliaths have overwhelming armor pen; So most of your armor doesn't do anything.

My 2 cents. Balance was do fubar in testing they turned off dying instead if fix it. They shoved a pile of crap out the door because they had all hands for exilecon and then were left with virtually nothing for this league.

Then when players found an easy solution. Removed. They did this 2 or three times and won't touch the less easy but still easy solution because if they removed the cheesy way of dealing with the mechanic almost no build could operate at 1k plus.

They still need to fix graphics issues and slowly trot out the hundreds of unlisted changes that have bricked popular builds.

Just to reemphasive, the devs that normally love seeing players die, turned off death in a hardcore league.

They need to simplify their game, refocus, and make something fun. None if this hardcore crap that just doesn't work at the end of the day. It doesn't matter if they buff players if they keep gutting the floor. Hame just doesn't feel good, to me. It has potential, but is wasted.

Despite the snark, the two first-responders are correct.

But to break it down completely while avoiding the "git gud": you just need to not get hit. That is the strategy. If you get hit, you die. Come up with any possible way to avoid getting hit or targeted by enemies. That is the entire strategy of the league.

Defense doesnt matter. Damage doesn't matter. Nothing matters. Just...distract and avoid.

We can argue all day and night as to whether this is "good" design or not: but all that matters is that it IS the design. It's up to us to figure out the way around it, NOT complain about it (especially over a month into the league...). They are clearly not going to change anything, and there are STILL plenty of people in the thousands and multi-thousands.

Ex: I could fight Sirus 100x. Every time I walk into the voidstorm thing and die. I keep pumping my defenses, walk into the storms....and die again. Rather than rage about why does the voidstorm make mincemeat of all my "defenses", eventually I need to realize: oh it's DESIGNED for 99% of all builds to NOT touch the storms.

yeah I was never saying "I am struggling to win and dont understand the mechanics" I was complaining about the design of very specific enemies, and the warchiefs, because Im not making a character to do this content specifically, but am using the skills that get the best results.

for context, Im rank 700 after about 10 hours in the halls of the dead. I started the league 6 days ago, been playing other games because theres a lot out right now. And I've made about 40 div in that time, because I'm winning. It's just REDICULOUS DESIGN that a non-boss enemy deals more phys damage on hit than the Phys focused guardian that's meant to be the bar for physical defense.
