Game still running like absolute garbage after 3.22 GPU-based particle system update
" Same here 7.8 K hours, never had any issues wit this game, and if I had something it problem with my PC and not game itself. This 6 gig patch just killed game for me. |

yep, the 3.21.2 patch completely nuked my performance, getting roughly half of my previous fps when doing simple things such as a ritual / azurite node in delve, fighting harbingers etc, dropping from my 120 framelimit to ~60 doing those things, where as in previous leagues I was more or less locked to my 120 fps limit unless doing super juiced deli maps/blight maps and so on,
looking in the thread from when the update was made (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3406424) it seems a lot of players performance got destroyed so it seems to be a huge problem and not just some small minority of the playerbase, often I see threads on the poe subreddit as well begging for performance fixes after this patch hit, it is a shame because the game itself and the league is in a really good place I feel, but it is just completely unenjoyable to play with performance like this :S tried everything you can possibly try but nothing really helps to be honest, not even dropping down to 1280x720 from 1920x1080p, as soon as there is basically any density at all then the framerate tanks if i'm fighting mobs there, CPU: i7-9700k GPU: RTX 2060 RAM: 2x8gb ddr4 3200mhz (overclocking to 3600mhz did 0 difference so went back to default ) DISK: single 500gb NVME disk OS: win11 with latest updates/drivers (rolling back to win10 and/or testing older nvidia drivers make zero difference as well) using vulkan as renderer because it performs the least horrible out of the 3, dx11 I get constant freezes and stuttering, and dx12 performs slightly worse than vulkan for me.. like, doing a single alch and go map or even a white map now runs worse than what juiced mapping did for me before the particle-change patch honestly... Up.
Zero fixes, zero statements, zero...nothing. But 100% ignored. Good job, GGG! |
