Can't use 2H Swords with Boneshatter?

Recently upgraded from 2H axe to 2H sword, and know Boneshatter can't be used.

I tried just the skill itself without support gems, and that too didn't resolve the issue.

Is this a bug? Or am I missing something?

Boneshatter can't be used with swords. Check the gem.
