Titanic Shell is a big problem in TOTA

Now, before anyone get's angry with me. Yes, am playing the big cheeser build, hoever i do not think it really matters in this case. Now as the title says, Titanic Shell monster in TOTA is a big problem for the mechanic, and i am here to tell why, and how to possible, solve the problem. The main problem with the mob, is it's ability to make totems immune to sealing, Even if you play a build that is able to kill it, it becomes a problem really quickly if you get oneshot due to the way how mob damage and defenses scale as you are climbing higher(and that is a whole different jar of pickles that can be argued is too badly made). For the big cheeser build. If you dont get to seal it's totem, it is a reset, and in my opinion justifying Totemic Shell's existence to counter cheese is a really bad take, as it not only makes cheeser builds pretty close to inefective, it also makes other builds that are not built to deal big damage with big defenses, very innefective, seeing how the most effective strategy in TOTA is to seal enemy totems before yours get sealed, becasue due to the way how high the scaling goes on enemy mobs it is really difficult to get even close to enemy totems becasue you just get overwhelmed really quickly. Now that my rant is over. How to fix this problem. Now, there are 3 ways actually. 1. Remove it - It is not a problem if it does not exist. 2. Make it that it does not make it's own totem immune, but makes it so that you have to channel for longer to seal it, in that way, you can still make it so that it does not brick an entire round. 3. Make it so that whenever it is chanelling, the skill has an actual duration, seeing how it seems to just keep chanelling it's skill as the round goes. 4. Make it so that the skill has a range. Say If a Turtle that is placed in the slot behind the leaders slot it defends the 2 center defense totems, the leasders totem and 2 totems that are next to the leader). If you knock it, let's say on top of the leaders totem, it stops protecting totems that were in defense positions) and so forth. This is just my overall opinion on this, and i hope, like i actually hope. that someone up there sees this and actually considers the fact that maybe, just maybe, there are some things that are not really fair, as cool as they sound. Tota is a big problem. Worst expansion to date. I thought synthesis was bad. This is MUCH worse.

Get used to these terrible leagues with zero balance from now on. POE 2 is taking all their man power and its very sad. Tota could have been so good but they just ignore all the complaints.

I don’t know. I’m at 1.1k. I don’t get one shot by much and titanic shell seems fine to me. Sure it’s annoying in escort but clear the other totems to get a big numbers advantage and then kill it

I feel like there was actually some sort of silent nerf to the turtle. The turtle *used* to be my biggest issue, and now I can take the totems around it and focus it down. It takes a while, but I'ver taken out quite a few of them versus calling it a straight up loss. I'm not using a cheeser build. I kite, I can only kill the squishy mobs (spear dancer, birb, and turtle after 10 minutes). I was one of the biggest complainers of the turtle, but it feels different.

The titanic shell exists solely as a hard counter to zdps builds. If you can't beat it, consider playing a real build instead of void sphere cheese.
Any build with the damage to beat the Feared is more than capable of beating turtles at 2k rating. "But Pirate, what about noobs who can't beat the Feared hurr durr?" Well, I guess you don't get to play 2k TotA then. And that's fine, the mechanic starts throwing divines at you before rank 500. Just play at a lower level until you build up the currency to make a build that can kill turtles. That's kind of how ARPGs work. |

" True. One of the worst league mechanics I can remember too. I have been forcing myself to do it for the tattoos but its such a slog. Not even really hard, just utterly boring and uninteresting. |

" sure, you could dps it down yourself instead of a zDPS build. but can you survive doing it? how many builds can have that dps and the insane mitigation required to actually survive fighting in TOTA. everything in there hits way harder than any pinnacle boss. |
