Question about inherent fire mechanics

In the PoE Wiki site for fire Damage (https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Fire_damage) it says „If a creature lands a critical strike with an attak or spell that deals fire damage, the ignite status ailment is inflicted.“ Does the term „Creature“ include the Player aswell? Or does this only apply for the „Monsters“ and not the Player?

you don't need to crit though, your non-crit hits can ignite if you have "chance to ignite" modifiers somewhere in your gear/tree
