How to continue playing TOTA?

I have been really enjoying the league mechanic and am now almost at 1k rating and the damage and health of mobs is just so annoying and winning tournaments has become really awkward as it no long seems to matter how good my guys are either.

Is there a way to continue without maing a new character? other then slowly losing 2 games a time to bring down rank points by 10.

No idea tbh. I'm really, really frustrated with the whole darn mechanic too. Almost at 1600, and even tried to embrace the cheese by swapping to a 4L void sphere. But it's ultimately not much use when all mobs can and WILL oneshot you (from offscreen). And especially Mr Cowshit and his horde of Goliaths.

Can't quite fathom how something so absurd has gone through testing. Cause there was testing. Right?

If this is a testing bed for what is to come in POE 2, God help us all.
