Golems for non-golem builds

At the moment im playing an accuracy stacker and tried to use an ice golem in my build, because it gives me a lot of damage. First i tried to use the golem as self cast, but he dies instantly to every bigger mob group. So self cast wasnt an option for me. Now i have an ice golem linked with cast when damage taken. The problem is still that the golem dies on every bigger mob group and he has a relative low level.

I really like to have sometimes a golem at my side for the buffs he give, but because of all minion changes it isnt really an option any more, because he dies really quickly. The only good reason to use golems is when you use a golem build.

So i had an idea for builds that only want the golem buff. Wouldnt it be cool when somewhere in the witch area a keystone would exists that grant something like that...

Golem is invulnerable
Golem cant attack or cast
Golem grants 100% increased buff effect

I really would like to have this keystone now.

That will never happen. The keystone is insane and likely every build is going to use it.
Why would everyone play with it? I mean as Ranger or Duelist it would be hard to get. You really need to think about it, if you want to invest in it. Because its allocated in the witch area.

In addition the golem could reserve some mana like an aura.

I mean at the moment golems are nearly useless without a golem build.
Most builds that use golems are non golem builds....

Max level Golem + max level cwdt is pretty good for consistent uptime. OR hook a golem up with minion life/meatshield/elemental army supports. That's all you need to get probably a good 90% uptime or higher. You can use Hungry Loop...lots of options!

I almost always try to use a golem when I can. It's a free mini aura. Needs zero changes, just needs socket space.

No build is entitled to EVERYTHING. Sometimes if there is something you really want, you make room for it.

Also that keystone as you describe it is utterly bonkers insane broken.

Yeah sorry OP, but everyone and their dog use golems. Run crit builds? You want an ice golem. Caster? Assuming you're not building crit, you take lightning golem. Wanna be tankier? Stone golem.

That being said, if you remove the +100% golem effect, it would be a good keystone for passive golem buffs.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley
For OP: You obviously didn't try too hard to get it to work...

You can remove: Portal, Second Wind, Lifetap, and CWDT to get a FULL 4L golem if you choose. It will basically never die. Keep lifetap if you really need it for Blood Rage, and run a 3L golem. Use portal as a swap as needed.

You lose VERY little and get a much more permanent Golem.

Side note: get a better Quicksilver...25% reduced effect ewwww

That keystone might be a bit much. Heh.

As other have said, Minion Life + Meatshield + Elemental Army + Any amount of % Minion Life Regen will keep you golem running through low red maps on a Ranged character. Abyss jewels and cluster jewels are a good source of it.

If you're playing a melee or doing really nasty tiers of content, then CWDT is the best rout for uptime.
