Spell totem support and leech

So spell totem with any spell can leech hp for itself,if you have stats like this for example:

"chaos damage leeched as life"

But leech itself not that strong,for me it doesn't even look like 20% of its max hp.

In any case, i tested out stat's like this "80% increased Maximum total Life Recovery per second from Leech":

Or "(500–1000)% increased total Recovery per second from Life Leech":

And looks like they dont work for totem's leech at all.At least for spell totem.

totem is not you and you are not the totem

so it cannot use your gear and cant get any stats from your gear (unless it specifies totem)
