Melding of the Flesh Cobalt Jewel It only subtracts resistances. However, the mechanics of raising the remaining ones to the highest one does not work ;/

Melding of the Flesh does not increase your resistances. It increases your Maximum resistances to equal the highest of the three--you still need to invest enough into all three resistances to get them to that higher maximum.
