40/40 Feedback

Overall summary (flexing included):
This is hands down one of the best leagues I've played lately. There is some space for balancing it a bit more, but in general - I love TotA. Rewards are amazing, gameplay is great, it could be even turned into a pvp version with turned off player vs player dmg (focusing on teams composition mostly). I was able to self craft every piece of my gear except uniques (and boots) - so items are not BiS, but they're my own. Poison SRS - cheap and OP build.

My current rank in TotA is around 1500+ with intention of playing more.

Issues
Things that could use some tuning:
- I feel like tournaments are way too rewarding, I feel like a kid in a candy store with wallet full of cash.
- some warriors could use some tuning, like Spear Dancer is hard to avoid, fast, often catch me from near offscreen with dash attack killing on spot. If on the other hand, those warriors wouldn't be able to kill me so easily, I would be winning 100% of the games without effort.
- some champions could use some tuning - some of their abilities have too big AOE radius, like Kahuturoa, if I don't see him, there is a big chance his slam will kill me from offscreen.
- I little bit more control over favours types would be good (maybe? - not 100% sure if it would not trivialize the game)

Challenges:
Challenges were easy, one of the easiest set in recent years, tho winning final game without warriors could be tricky for solo players, as I did it with guildies, we also had a blast playing as team in tournament

Summary:
Overall, game feels great, Sanctum went core in a very good way, without breaking mapping, we can just dedicate our time to Sanctum when we want it and run it at once from the beginning till the end in one go. Loot is insane, maybe even too much. Plenty of stuff to do.
I hope that tattoos and TotA will go core.

I focused on challenges, not on currency farming but anyway end up with
that will be converted to mirror soon. Feels like this league had more loot than any other league.

Edit: currency converted into

Damn, hope future leagues stay as rewarding as this.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

Nice effort post. Thanks for sharing.

You are correct the rewards seem a bit over-tuned. Not that I'm complaining, but when this goes core, I feel they will need to down-scale the loot some too, otherwise standard will get glutted with divines.

It's too rewarding because it's raw currency with little RNG compared to other high reward farms.
From my experience its really not rewarding at all. Up until rank 800 got dropped 3 raw divines and tattoo with other things that could be worth 10 div in total. Feels like some legend seeing all these stacks of div drops others get xD
Doesn't matter how "rewarding" it is if its unfun and even the thought of trying to get to high ranking makes me wanna uninstall game. That's like telling someone to get to delve depth 10,000 and then maybe they'll see good rewards. No, just no. And imo its still not rewarding enough from what I saw up to rank 500 with how damn hard this mechanic is. You keep getting shitty tattoos and trash currency, and the end of tournament gives you trash omens and I've never even seen this super special hinekora's lock currency nor have I seen any good league-mechanic specific uniques. I'd rather do Sanctum all day. This is the most anti-fun league mechanic I've seen since Crucible, white mobs tankier than t16 map bosses and everything oneshots you whether you have insane defences or 0 defences, annoying 5-second stuns anytime you try to channel a totem. Not only is it unfun its also boring, hold left-click simulator wooooow. Also if they nerf rewards then I don't even want it in the game or if it is in the game I'm gonna ignore it lol
I've only ever found 5x divines at most and stopped at 500 ranking after being done with challenges. I got a mirror and 2x doctor cards from Ritual and that's at least fun and not overtuned. Also the "win with an empty field" challenge is pure cancer and is only doable in a 6-man group getting carried by aurabots and minion builds.

And Cruel Custodian Crucible was one of the most cancerous challenges I've ever attempted solo, don't know why they thought the average player could do this with an average build. Challenges like that or "wave 30 simulacrum" in other leagues shouldn't exist, they should be doable on a lot of builds not just one. But hey at least people are finally selling carries for it on tft, they weren't when I was trying it so I had to solo it all with 15 mil dps Freezing Pulse in those maps because Ice Spear doesn't have the aoe clear for that. Also a delirium boss spawning in the phoenix room of one of those guardian maps was very fun. Almost good challenges, almost. And the ritual 200 unique bosses challenge being longer than an endgame grind then getting changed to an easy challenge you don't even think about was just insane, grinded that for 2 days for nothing. Hopefully the next league isn't an overtuned unfun mess like this one, keep the tattoos but the tournament should never go core.

You know you could do twinned city square for 6 bosses, close them in vial and have 12 on next city square? Thats like 18 bosses in 2 maps.

Yes. That's what I did. Did YOU know that its pure rng if you get a ritual to spawn on the map boss? Because it took me a fuckton of maps and I had to horizon orb all my t11s and 3-to-1 all my t10s just to try twinned city squares. Yes I was capturing any 6 bosses that were in a ritual, it still took fucking forever. Did you do it that way? Or did you wait for the patch that made it non-existant as a challenge. Because if you thought this was easy the only way would be for you to be extremely lucky. There is no way to guarantee that the ritual will spawn on the map boss lol

And even if you do use a vial on a random twinned city square, there is absolutely no guarantee that that one will have a ritual on the map bosses, so no you don't have 12 in it, and killing the map bosses only counts the first time in the Ritual too, doesn't matter if you do the one on the boss first any subsequent time they revived it didn't count. And sometimes the map was buggy and only counted 4 or 5 of the bosses as part of the ritual. Extremely fun.

You don't seem to understand the amount of pure RNG that goes into that challenge before the change, it was pure pain. Just luck, nothing else. The worst kind of challenge.
