Friendly reminder: There are still MANY players who cant play due to performance issues.

Talking to my friends, looking through posts here and on reddit, and chatting with people in-game, it is clear that many players are unable to play the game due to stuttering/lag and performance issues.

The issues were somewhat improved with 3.22.0b Hotfix 4, but I really hope the devs are still working on more fixes.

Of course, I do not have access to any reliable data on how many are affected by the performance-issues, but amongst my friends and people I've talked to, roughly 1 out of 5 have stopped playing this league due to performance issues. Who are affected is not related to specific hardware, and not related to core-count/HW-age or other specific things mentioned here and by devs. All of these players have also played PoE smoothly before the engine "upgrade" that released just before this league. People I've talked to are mainly HC-players, so I expect the amount of quitters to be higher here than in SC. If these numbers are anywhere close to representative of the current situation, GGG should imo prioritize performance issues until resolved.

There are many placebo-fixes out there, but two unrelated fixes seems to actually work for some players:
1) Disable all sound through config ini
2) Limit/prevent CPU idlestates by either capping CPU-usage or force the CPU to operate at a certain percentage.

Neither of these band-aids are good, and neither work for me. Their seemingly unrelated nature makes me think that there are multiple issues with the PoE-engine creating some exotic cocktail-effect for a select few. Both the "fixes" mentioned above have been working for different people at different times going back to at least Delirium, so not all of the issues are caused by the recent "engine-upgrade". My guess is that recent changes has made some systems more vulnerable than before to bugs that were already present in the engine.

This is me being idle in hideout. I get approx. same results with any combination of renderer/config/bandaid-fix. Used to be 144 fps smooth with no spikes - now its unplayable. Experienced performance are much worse than what these graphs indicate.

EDIT: Some spelling

I'm really quite confused as to why they barely seem to be acknowledging that this is happening.
Other than that pinned note in the "Known PC Issues" thread, they haven't said anything, have they?
It has been over a month with this problem. I think it's pretty safe to assume at this point that they have no idea how to fix it.

Agreed. This is mainly why I felt the need to write this post in the first place.
