Something has to be done...
I am legit unable to play PoE. I have Ryzen 7 5800X3D and 3080TI and every time I launch PoE my PC turns into a rocket ship... CPU temp goes up to 85 degrees!
And before someone says "oh, your CPU is meant to run hot" or "you have bad airflow" - I rarely go above 75 degrees playing BG3 or Cyberpunk (or any game for that matter), but PoE is a special case for some reason. Will this ever be fixed? Last edited by Gondawn#0638 on Sep 4, 2023, 6:18:08 PM Last bumped on Sep 5, 2023, 10:20:08 AM

yeah game is fked up across the board, i even turned max processor power to under 100%, basically disabling turbo boost to stop from running hot and it did nothing for poe, but works on everything else.. they've done some really really bad sht

Strangely enough launching the game with "-ns" to disable all sound or disabling individual parts of it in the config file under C:\Users%USERNAME%\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile, by changing values to false, has improved my and many other peoples performance considerably, try it ^^.

Ok, this is what I did to fix this issue way back last league - go to renderer and choose DirectX12 (beta). The issue disappeared
