Rolling Zombie/AddFire/ChanceIgnite/EleProlif Summoner. What spell should I use for additional DPS?

I'm going to try out this new summoner build Kripp has been working on. I'm on softcore, so I'm less concerned with dying, and I don't want to go with as much support stuff as he has.

I'm wondering what spell I can use in addition to the Zombies for DPS. So far I'm considering Dual Spork or Detonate Dead.

I was wondering if anyone can give me advice on how each of those skills is best scaled, and whether or not it'd be possible to spec the correct passive nodes to make their dps relevant while keeping the core summoner passives.

He's using a low level ice nova totem with elemental equilibrium, along with ele weakness and flammability to massively lower fire resist for the Added Fire, Chance to Ignite, Elemental Proliferation Zombies, who AoE burn on melee attacks for a ton of damage. He's also using minion instability.

If I spend 6 points to get down to dual totem, I can go dual spork, but can I also get enough damage nodes to make it do reasonable damage?

If I use detonate dead, I get to take advantage of the massive -fire resists from the curses and ele equilibrium, but I have no idea how best to utilize the spell, and what nodes would best scale it's damage.

Lastly, if I'm not trying to go so extreme on curses and auras, do I really need to spec eldritch battery?

Any insights on scaling dual spork and detonate dead, suggestions on build changes to support them, and whether or not I need EB would be very much appreciated.
Thats interesting I wonder how that zombie set up fairs late game. Gonna go test it =3

Edit: tested. this is actually an amazing fucking idea. once a zombie explodes its GG, the burn damage is immense.

Yeah, the melee aoe ignite damage is really, really high as well.

I was thinking about it, and I realized using a staff to 5/6L the zombies would let me use my chest to link up EK and do solid damage. If i see a reflect mob, I can just let the zombies kill it. I think that is probably the best spell to use when I'm short on nodes to pump it's damage. I don't think there's any efficient way to boost fire damage for both minion instability, detonate dead, and ignite melee zombies. Now I need to mathcraft the mana requirements to see if I still need eldritch battery.

Edit: Forgot to mention for those that haven't seen it, the 5th link for the zombies is actually Remote Mine, which is kind of hilarious.

I just incorporated this idea into my full summoner build. Since I tend to use either lightning spectres for shock stacking or fire damage spectres. Flammability + elemental weakness is a great combo.

Shock stacking is another way to increase burn damage as it increases the damage that mobs take from all sources.

Was running with this setup for last night's map runs

zombie, chance ignite, added fire, elemental pro,

skeles with totem, chance ignite, elemental pro

4x arc mages on, faster cast, minion damage, chain

arc + elemental pro

I was owning 70+ maps so hard. The Burn damage is plain nuts with 3x shock charges, flammability, Elemental weakness. The added fire melees was ok damage, it lets zombies have an aoe attack. But whenever a skele or zombie exploded the damage was insane. The burn damage was killing bosses and rares within 2-3 seconds.

Edit: If I could triple curse (with unique ring) I would use vulerability another 40% burn damage boost. Also the new burn damage support gem is a great idea too.

Yeah, vulnerability is definitely the next curse to use. Maybe just focusing on mass cursing would be more effective damage than trying to cast EK or detonate dead.

From what I saw, the aoe burn from the zombie melee was doing significant damage itself, and the minion instability did mass damage, but was very inconsistent. Skele's get -50% ele damage, which lowers their instability damage a ton, I'm intrigued to hear they still do good damage. I was considering dropping them entirely.

Am not sure if that 50% reduction applies to MI or not. I thought it only applies to on hit auras and support gems

hi there i'm low new summoner.

i have 6L to : Zombies, addfire, ignite, elemprofi, increase area effect (mapkill)/increase burning damage (bosskill), empower.

i use AOE personal dps, shock nova not frost for up hatred dps too ( weird not stop burning damage and synergie with curse)

My talent very classic : all nodz minion, aura and curse with minion instability and elemental equilibrium.

But i do not a really "ho my gad so lot AOE damage"... your gem are all lvl 20?
