Shaper of Flames

does Elementalist's Shaper of Flames ascendancy work with a skill linked to Ballista Totem Support and the keystone Ancestral Bond? would the totem always ignite enemies?

Maybe they were talking about how "Always Ignite" doesn't get around "% Chance to Avoid Ignite/Elemental Ailments", generally from map mods?

Or how monsters with "Fire and Ignite Resistance" have reduced Ignite duration on them, and if you have reduced Ignite duration in your kit you won't be able to ignite them.

no, in fact i think he was talking specifically against bosses and rares, because against packs he said it didnt matter since they would die just from the explosion and not the ignite. he was like doing a weird setup with lightning spire trap and combustion to use against bosses to guarantee ignite, because he said totems don't count as your hits, so Shaper of Flames didn't work with them. something along those lines.
