Infused Beachhead Map Totems Bug

I tried to do this fight but the harbinger totems made it impossible to finish.
The proximity shield totems were overlapping each other so much that they were invunerable and i couldn't destroy them, neither the others which deal high damage and also the ones which reduce damage taken. I ended up with the area in front of the portal with around 20 totems and i couldn't destroy any of them even when i jumped in the middle of them. I tried to "cheese" the fight by going either far top or far down where the totems couldn't hit me, but its obviously impossible to fight so many rares in a small space.

I don't understand why GGG doesn't know the word "LIMIT" when it comes to enemies, like Soul Eaters stacking absurdly high with no limit, the last Drox fight for me had banners everywhere and no possible way to deal damage since he has no limit on the amount of banners, and now this fight being impossible to finish because there's no limit to the amount of totems harbingers can spawn.

On top of all that the fight spawns so many rares which are probably the worse part of PoE rn, their "powers" are just bad and pose no real challenge, instead they disable builds and creates more and more broken combinations.

Every single time those things happens i ask myself why do i still play this game? I'm probably uninstalling it i dunno.

I have done a LOT of beachhead and infused beachhead maps....I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Never had any sort of problem you describe, on any build I have ever created.

I don't even think the totems you describe are proximity shield totems. There are some totems in there that are immortal or otherwise I never paid attention to them. They just buff enemies or shoot fire at you, but you can kill everything else just fine.

As far as spawning so many rares....that is the ENTIRE point of infused beachhead! It's also pretty much the point of any harbinger encounter you have. You don't want all those rares? Run a REGULAR beachhead. It's supposed to be Harbinger suped up to the max.

I've honestly never looked up any specifics into the "totems" because the map is one of the easiest unique maps to complete, as it is no different than running into a harbinger in your normal maps except with a guaranteed amount of them. But I have DEFINITELY gone in with a full ranged build and just blasted everything off-screen so definitely no proximity shields.

Yes there are proximity shield totems there and just because it never happened to you doesn't mean it can't happen. I don't know if this is intended or its a bug, but it happened and i had 20 totems laying there with no possible way to destroy them neither from afar nor up close.

Also, rares are bad af right now, i played PoE in almost every version at least a bit since Sacrifice of the Vaal and they're definitely bad, so stop saying "if you don't want to fight rares don't do it". People want a good game to play which has actual challenge and not broken stuff that you can't deal with because the devs can't think of the amount of interactions these stuff can have.
How did you play since Sacrifice of the Vaal when your account is only from 2018? Unless for whatever reason you switched accounts or were banned...

Rares are fine. You might very rarely encounter a rare that completely shuts you down which sucks but the overwhelming majority are fine. And you specifically complained about the AMOUNT of rares in the infused beachhead. And that is precisely the reason you run the Infused version over the regular version: for more rares and more monsters and more loot. You are complaining about something that...you specifically targeted. Also, infused beachhead gives every monster 100% MORE damage and life so...again, YOU are choosing to run with buffed rares.

I have also played plenty, and have done at least 100 Infused Beachheads since AN. Haven't noticed it being significantly harder than ever before.

If you are talking about the blue bubble totems...I REALLY don't think they are proximity shields. I just think the totems themselves are immortal. It's a buff circle, not a proximity circle. The proximity circles are yellow, and can NEVER overlap each other. You can see this in Act 3 tower...there are always numerous proximity shields on screen and you just need to get next to the guy and kill him regardless of whether he is also covered by another shield.

I am way too lazy to go hunting down exactly what the totems do in Harbinger...and I haven't done a Beachhead this league or last league so I can't be 100% sure. But I am like 99% sure they aren't proximity shields. Otherwise I would have never started running beachhead in the first place.

Ed: Okay I looked it up...there ARE proximity shield buffs but the shield range is absurdly small and short-lived. That's probably why I never noticed it. It protects a single monster for a little bit of time. But the proximity shield obelisk is almost immediately replaced with the other damage buff obelisks pretty quickly. It isn't a TRUE proximity shield.

It is a proximity shield since you have to go inside the bubble to kill it and when there's 20 totems really close to each other i makes the areas overlap rendering them invunerable. At the back part of the portal there was like 2 proximity shield totems overlapping and i tried to go inside their areas to kill them but did zero damage to any of them with 1 million average damage per hit.
I don't really understand what you meant by "But the proximity shield obelisk is almost immediately replaced with the other damage buff obelisks pretty quickly", but if they were meant to disappear and give place to other types of obelisks, then i've had a bugged map because they never disappeared neither changed, the obelisks just kept stacking in front of the portal and there was a whole bunch of them, proximity shield, the fire beams, the fire orbs, damage reduction ones, everything, they just kept stacking and never changed, disappeared or could be destroyed.

As for the rares, they suck, these new mods are just bad, if you like it how it is ok, but i'll never enjoy these stupid D3 styled powers that rares gets like exploding orbs (which are ugly af) or mortars (which is pure D3). And tbh D3 rare mods were actually better than these, i'd rather dance around slow rotating lasers on the ground than having to deal with a Cannot regenerate life above 50% + Hasted while playing a spell oriented character.

Anyways i already uninstalled the game like always, the game keeps being able to make me come back and in a couple days make me go away due to stacked frustrating situations like dying from rubber banding, one-shots that i can't understand due to the lack of death recap, broken rares and so on.

As for stating i played the game since its early days, its because i've played it many times using the launcher and everytime i got back to the game i forgot my account and created new ones, since i never bought mtx back then i didn't bother having new accounts, but in 2018 i linked my steam account because i wanted to buy the first blood pack.
I found my older account and i actually played this shit since beta lmao.
Lets hope PoE2 turns out different cuz i'm probably not coming back to PoE1 never again.
