TOTA is easy, but for all the wrong reasons
I'm sure everyone else has worked out how to win almost every TOTA match by now... You make a beeline for their defence and start destroying their towers before they destroy yours.
Once you've taken maybe 3 or more of their towers, you've won. You can now AFK at this point and your team will continue to snowball against theirs and it's over within 60 seconds. My character attacks precisely 0 times every battle, because attacking is a waste of time. Their units are so tanky that attacking is futile, and if you happen to get charged by one of their spear guys then you're insta-dead. TOTA is a lot of fun, but the combo of your team basically having 1hp and their team basically having 999999999hp isn't conducive of skilful or tactful gameplay. It just encourages easy mode cheese tactics. And don't get me started on the turtles which take 4 hours to kill, respawn instantly, and provide invulnerability to 6 towers surrounding them. This in no way makes TOTA difficult, it just makes it time consuming. There has to be a better way to scale difficulty which can't be circumvented by tower rushing Last bumped on Sep 1, 2023, 10:17:48 AM
