[0.10.7] Mouse Cursor Issues

Upon logging into the patch, one of the first thing which I, along with several others, noticed was that the mouse cursor was suddenly too large, and, on a more personal note, we thought that its texture was not visually appealing.

Although I understand that the reason this change was made was so that the cursor would be more visible while fighting large packs of mobs, it is a bit of an eyesore.

The solution which we came up with, and which we think would probably not be too difficult to implement, is to place two things within the options menu. The first, a slider which would scale the mouse cursor up and down, would allow anybody who felt uncomfortable with the size of their cursor to change it conveniently. In addition to that, although perhaps less importantly, we felt that it would be interesting to see an option that would allow us to import an image file into the game to use as our mouse cursor. Or, failing that, simply allow us to change it in the game files which, although less convenient, would serve the purpose just fine.

I would appreciate if this would be taken into consideration by the governments, and would like to see what everybody else thinks about it as well. Cheers!

I second this! I would love to use a mincraft sword or even the old school zelda sword, or something cool like that.
I wonder how hard it would be to let the cursor be defined by windows. People could then pick custom cursors galore.

Anyway, I like the new cursor. Nice and visible!

I pretend that it is a giant paper airplane flying across my screen.
Yeah...thats not gonna happen. This is the same with every other visual changes GGG has implemented in the past.

People, cry, GGG ignores them, and a few days later, everyone gets used to them and moves on.
Why is the tip of the 0.10.7 mouse cursor darker than the body?

I'm actually having a clumsy time clicking on things, because I'm using the most visible (i.e. the bright white) part as the pointer tip, instead of the actual tip which is poorly defined.

This should not be dismissed as a "getting used to it" issue. An objective analysis of the 0.10.7 design should raise questions about why it's textured/colored in a way that can create usability problems.

Yes the cursor as a whole is easier to see and find, but I'm finding it harder to use. The tip should be more prominent.
Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.
Mouse cursor was fine by size previously, but I'd add a shifting brightness sequence for the outline, the center inverting colours of the 3d geo.
Looks pretty much techno, but should get the job done.
More testing next time please GGG-

edit
Far as i can tell, the issue was a disappearing mouse cursors due to overworked processing.
If you're leaving PoE, chances are I'll rezz you as my minion! MWHAHAHAH

New mouse cursor is non-responsive to my clicks often times, and I have to waste time on re-clicking, re-dragging stuff. Quite annoying.

When all your fears combined, the manifest was refined.
I know you really tried to understand. This is a new way!

In the Beta General Discussion forum, one of my characters has a discussion with Chris Wilson where he admits that the cursor just might in fact be a loose hunk of metal which had fallen onto a mouse.
