Axe Mastery "Enemies killed by your hits are destroyed" does not seem to always work

And corpses randomly have extreme amounts of health (not counting boss corpses). I wish I had shadow play to share this, but something is very wrong with both corpse life and "destroy on hit". My 99 juggernaut just got 1 shot next to a detonate corpse box.
I did not have any other units that could kill.
I have an extremely low chance of killing with bleed from vulnerability (thus not procing corpse destruction), given that the bleed does something like 3000 dps and my hits shotgun 1 shot most units.
I've taken hits from detonate boxes in the past, a single explosion has never killed before, yet this seemingly single explosion instakilled me.
I could barely tell if this explosion was a single one or invisible.
I had 81% fire resistance and 120,000 armor on a juggernaut with 24 fortify. The map only had crit, I did click 1 altar in the map that reduced flasks gained. I did not misclick.
There were no stygian dd mobs in the map.
It was NOT a boss corpse.

Might be QQ rant but something seems seriously wrong. There shouldn't have been a corpse because of the mastery, the corpse that did explode shouldn't do THAT much damage, and the explosion was seemingly invisible. I've been standing next to detonation boxes with juggernaut for 2 leagues now with that axe node and never had this problem.

I found what did it after some more testing, strongboxes sometimes have "spawns additional rogue exile"
Rogue exile corpses are not being destroyed on kill with the axe mastery allocated.
Rogue exile extreme life values contributed to my unfortunate one shot.
I still believe this to be a bug unless for some reason rogue exile corpses are exempt from this rule as are boss corpses (which is still really lame)
I have the same issue with my MF.
Tried it on low level maps and some corpse appears but not always
and by extremely low you mean 25% for 9 seconds, get real

if the box contains a rogue exile or there is a nearby dead rogue exile the dd will likely always go off.

rogue exiles are considered unique named enemies and their corpses cannot be destroyed.
