Inconsistant Essence spawn / interact behavior

Example Bug Report ID:
3,836,749,254

Summary:
I have been experiencing unexpected behavior with Essences over the last 2 days.
The issues fall into 2 categories:

1) Incorrect number of Essences spawned in maps
2) Inconsistent behavior of Essences when using Remnant of Corruption.

Configuration:
I have taken all Essence Notables on the Atlas Passive tree, and also The Seventh Gate to unlock all map crafting options.
I am selecting "Essence" in the map device.
I am playing on Standard. Not tested in League.
I have been using T-5 and below maps, alched to Rare rarity, a mix of Crucible maps and Ancestor maps. Mostly Crucible maps as i work to clear out my Read Only stash.

For issue 1:
Expected: This should result in 3 Essences spawning on every map.
Actual: Essences sometimes spawn None, Two, or Three essences.
Three (expected) is the most common outcome, None is more common than Two.

For issue 2:
By my rough estimation over the last days, about 1 in 30 essences does not respect the behavior of the Crystal Resonance notable.

Expected behavior: Corrupting Imprisoned Monsters in your maps cannot release them
Actual: roughly 1 in 30 times, using the Remnant of Corruption will still release the monster.

This is probably because some Crucible maps have been removed from the Atlas and Atlas passives do not affect them.

This seems to be correct for the Part 2 of the issue.

I ran some additional maps.
All Crucible league maps. The ones where I can replicate the issue are all ones that are no longer on the Atlas in Ancestor league maps.

I assume this is also the case for when "none" essences spawn, and that when Three spawn it is due to the atlas passives being applied.
