Always attack without moving

Does anyone have a workaround for using LMB set to "always attack without moving"? I want to use LMB for attacking not moving but if I set LMB up that way I can't pick anything up or interact with waypoints. Does anyone know of a workaround for this behavior? Holding down LMB causes pain in my hand so it's not really feasible to do this for extended amounts of time.

i think using LMB is bad for movement because it does cause unnecessary strain on peoples hands. its a default mode many arpg players have got into but i believe its objectively a bad control method.

thats how i have my controls, i use a keyboard key 'W' to move and then i attack with left mouse. but i dont use the 'always attack without moving' option on the skill. if i want to attack without moving i press shift on the keyboard which prevents you from moving.

i cant use mouse 1 as my only move either, its bad for causing rsi so i dont do it and now its been so long i couldnt play that way even if i tried.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

It is a known complaint with this particular game....there is no way around that issue with the LMB binding. Nothing in the settings. You have to make a different choice with your controls.
Regarding the screenshot in Snorkle_UK's post....

Two of my keys show those same smaller letters in the corner of the icon, one is an "A" and another is a "u". What do those letters represent?

Now that I think about it, they must indicate support gems linked to the skill. Where does one find a legend showing what they all mean?

Thanks!

Edit: Never mind. I thought about my guess above, and went to the wiki, and found the legend explaining everything: https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Support_gem

I bind it exactly like snookie, it feels so much better than holding down left click for the entire day
