Ascendancy node shown here does not function as described:

+% Cold Resistance isn't % Increased Cold Damage. I'm not seeing the bug here?

Does +% cold res not count as "reduction to other damage types" that should then be transformed into fire damage reduction? Am I misunderstanding the wording of the ascendancy passive?

Resists are not damage types. Full stop. It only means things that are increases and reductions to things that affect your characters dps.
