Questions about glacial hammer.
Is the frostbreath best for this build or 2 hand rare weapon is better?
If i use frostbreath what item should i use in the offhand slot? Thanks alot. Last bumped on Aug 23, 2023, 12:34:24 PM

Mathil done a glacial hammer build recently and one several years ago.
The older one basically took attack speed to the extreme through passives and brightbeak. The newer one was using Varunastra to benefit from easier access to damage nodes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSOOPy4b2bE Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

Unfortunately path of building still isn't updated with the new support gems.
With the addition of trauma support in 3.22 frostbreath seems to be at least endgame viable so i would go with it. |

frostbreath is almost as good as all t1 affix rare... and you can get one with fortify/onslaught implicit too. two hander is always better.

Goratha (streamer/YTer) has a glacial hammer build this league too.

Played trauma support glacial hammer jugg w/Frostbreath as my league starter. Campaign damage was abysmal with Brightbeak + trauma support and then still abysmal with Frostbreath + trauma support. Boneshatter with any weapon is probably straight up better in every scenario while leveling.
Your character's damage scales with the level of trauma support and your attack speed so it gets better in maps. The damage was still awful until I had Heatshiver. Did the first 2 watchstones and filled out atlas and called it quits. The damage is ok for T16s but for the hassle of using a build with a million button presses it's straight up bad. Jugg is almost immune to hits but any DoT absolutely shreds you. Definitely would not recommend unless you want a self-imposed challenge. |
