Guardian' blessing feeling dumb

I tried the new support "guardian's blessing", and it feels dumb to use : i have to press the aura button (the icon shows it's active, with the swirling thing), then i have to press the minion button associated with this blessed aura. Problem is, at the moment my minion dies from the constant phys damage, the aura is "turned off" again, wich means i have to re-activate the aura, then the minion. What's the point ?

It would be better to have the minion be automatically in "blessing mode" when you summon it, or have the blessing keeping it's activated state after the minion dies. If not, i may as well use divine blessing, it's only one button to press.

The way it was showed and it is described, it made me think that the guardian blessing minion was supposed to be summoned for a temporary boost, an that it only required to summon it.
