Cannot enter sanctum

Hello,
I just finished the campaign and i wanted to run sanctum. however i forgot to insert the free relic so i reset my run and then both the relic and the quest item are nowhere to be found? i cant find an answer anywhere to get another quest book to reopen the sanctum. Something is non-obvious. I died in the sanctum and didn't place my relic correctly and cannot start sanctum too.

Going back to Ossuary also does re-issue the quest. Sanctum no access.

Buying a forbidden tome lets you do sanctum. but the relic is just gone i guess

similar problem, started a run a few days ago, first time ever seeing Sanctum.
Now I want to try again, but the altar wont take the relic I have and if there is supposed to be a way to reset/restart/rejoin I cannot find it. Stuck unable to access league mechanic |
