failed to decompress (corrupted data)

I did get the same problem now, I thought it is related to me trying to debug the slow town loading issue. :)
I'm getting this issue on an 11600k
The issue isnt not related to your pc's. Like the error msg says, it happens bc of a corrupted file or a few of those.
Reinstalling the game will just reinstall the same corrupted files. You need to follow the trail into the poe folder.
Windows 10 Pro
22H2
19045.3693
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor 3.70 GHz
32.0 GB
RTX 3080

Failed 20 times in the last hour, completely unplayable
Fails in town, fails in transition, fails in hideout
I have the same problem Failed to Decompress whenever I try to play

Intel i9-13900KF
32GB RAM
RTX4080
13900k here and crashing with this error a lot
also 13900k, also getting constant crashes, had a work around yesterday where i could literally spam the open client, and having 2 clients open and 100 error messages actually somehow kept my client stable (8+ hours game play no crashes - close the error messages+ 2nd client? crash in under 5 mins, open them all up again? fine for another 8+ hours game play, no other variables changed)

unfortunately, todays update changed all that and now it again crashes in under 5 minutes

i have noticed the only time the client loads without the decompression error is IMMEDIATLY after i boot up, while the CPU is under load, just like its under more load with the 2 clients open

i strongly suspect something is happening to do with the processors being too fast, in the same way you cant run a dos game designed for a 486 on an I3 PC because the chip is just too fast for the way it was programmed

i suspect they would have to add some kind of DOS box emulator type software to PoE client, to slow it down, which is a lot of hassle for the few people with really good systems, which is why they are saying nothing about it, as they have probably written us off as too small a percentage to bother with
"Reinstalling the game will just reinstall the same corrupted files. You need to follow the trail into the poe folder."

cryptic and unhelpful, what exactly do you expect people who cant unpack and examine the code to do exactly?

if freshly reinstalled versions are doing the exact same thing (i didn't install client for the first time ever until 2 days ago as a potential work around for the steam version crashing all the time) then what exactly would "following the rail to the PoE folder" do to help?

it is in fact much more likely, having use revo uninstaller to completely clean it and reinstall from scratch on steam, verifying files on steam, install the client for the first time from scratch, and using the packcheck option, and NONE of that helps, that it is in fact the way our PCPU's are unpacking/decompressing the files that is to blame, so please dont be a victim blamer
I have a 13900K and a 4090. I just went through all the steps to try and resolve this uninstall, reinstall, clear the computer of anything that says POE, etc.. Nothing seems to fix this really hope GGG fixes this soon!
