Rollback is needed at this point.
Optimization is still embarrassingly bad despite the updates. Since the new "Particle System" patch 3-4 weeks PoE on low-mid settings at 80FPS spikes my CPU cores to higher temperatures loading into my Hideout or a Map for example(75-85C roughly) than Apex Legends at 165HZ(Cores rarely go above 65-70C) and BF2042 at 165FPS. I locked my FPS to 80FPS for the time being. Temperature spikes of such extreme magnitude didn't exist before the "Particle System" update. From the best of my memory my CPU cores rarely reached 70C before the "Particle System" update. Feels good using a i7-13700kf, 4070, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 240MM AiO LC, SSD to run a 10 year old game at pathetic performance levels. I've seen far too many posts of people with i9-13900k/4090/32-64GB of DDR5 experiencing the same thing. Clearly they just need to upgrade to better specs haha. I can confidently say the current PoE performance is the either the worst or close to the worst optimization I've ever seen in any game I've played. GGG is highly raved about, the performance issues since the "Particle System" update have left a sour taste in my mouth though. It's laughable how poor the optimization is. I'd advise if your PC doesn't feel comfortable and acts weirdly with current PoE state to not play.
You have no clue how negatively it might impact your parts. Well, do whatever you would like but be warned. Something definitely is not right. I'm literally gonna sit out this league until it's fixed or skip completely. Screw this. New mute system is terrible - no trade...

Guys, I did the performance plan shenanigans, I did the file check in the POE directory, I did the performance graphic settings in Nvidia control panel, I set all sounds off, I set all graphics to absolute dogshit, I changed from vulcan to DX11 (all the changes before did not make much impact on vulcan) and I got it down from 3+ minutes to 1.
But. I have 50FPS in town max, on minimal settings, with 1080ti and 4.7GHz clocked i5. So the new engine is perfect, the only thing, I did not try at this point is going to find new drivers for graphic card, that do not fuck up my PC. Can someone try that? |

Ok, it lead to some corruption problems, all the changes I described above, but it seems there are other people, who have the same problem, so it seems it is not client related. Anyway, I tried to download another copy of PoE on another disk... :D :D I will check that copy...
