ES and mana stacking

just a note but i find it weird that the best way to achive high ES is to stack str/life then use ivory tower + shapers touch and bam more ES than you can ever get by any other mean and not by a small margin.

meanwhile gaining ES from mana is highly inefficient since it requires a lot of sources that grant small amounts of mana added as ES and even then they are not enought to compete with the amount of ES ivory tower gives.

for the record i am not asking for an ivory tower nerf but for a buff to mana stacking, ever since archmage got nerfed the concept of mana stacker has been on life support. few things that could give mana stackers a use

*create a new keystone / mastery that reduce mana reservation efficiency but makes auras gain 1% increased effect every "x" flat amount of mana they reserve (quality over quantity of auras)

*remove the cap on keystones that scale with mana like Sanctuary of Thought, prodigal perfection or dark ideation

*add large sources of more mana for instance 30% more mana, 150% increased mana cost of skills and 40% reduced mana reservation efficiency.

i mean....you named ONE way to stack ES, when there are plenty of ways to get high ES. It is most certainly not the "best" way...not even close.

And for the record, in order to do it THAT way, you trade off a huge amount of utility for that itty bit of extra ES: you can't reserve a lot of your mana otherwise you get insta-killed being on LL. You are stacking strength in a likely spellcaster build. You lose out on massive utility of other chests and other gloves. etc.

Going pure ES and stacking intelligence as well, without having to bother with the armor or the gloves nets you plenty of ES.



If you want to go strength/life ES conversion build...go for it. It's far simpler and far more powerful to go other routes. Maybe not as much max ES, but far far stronger.
