Sentinel of Radiance should be permanent
" the point was to give sentinel of radiance a way to scale its stats with supports and bonus from quality but since giving it access to supports would be to much i gate it behind herald of purity. its a trade, want super sentinel? well then sacrifice 45% mana and chest slot and get your super sentinal of radiance with 5 supports and all the mods from herald of purity "Minions have (0-38)% more Maximum Life, Minions deal (0-95)% more Physical Damage + bonus from chosen quality" if you dont want to make the sacrifice then the damage absorption is already decent enough to be worth a node. anyone else here played total anihilation kingdom? just realise how similar sentinel looks to avatar of anu XD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-QaCZYnzDQ self found league fan http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/324242/page/1 Last edited by caboom#7201 on Aug 31, 2023, 8:55:25 PM

There is no reason to make the sentinel of radiance temporary. There is no strategy involved, having it up all the time is the only right play. So it's just another annoyance, another button to press every X seconds. But unlike other buffs, it cannot be automated with triggers or instilling orbs, cannot be refreshed like blood rage or arcane surge or elemental relics.
Players are complaining for years about totem buffs being mandatory for melee for the same reason. It's just a button every melee/guardian build have to press every X seconds. And if you don't, you lose a lot of DPS/survivability. So you either are annoyed by having to constantly and mindlessly press a button, or wasting your build potential. I was disappointed a lot, when I saw the duration, barely finished the campaign and switched to another more convenient build. If the duration is removed, I'm definitely going to make a build around the sentinel. Last edited by iogann#2808 on Nov 12, 2023, 1:37:15 PM

He should be permanent because he is a tank and you sacrifice Ascendancy points to get him. And yet, he is super slow and temporary (who doesn't love a tank who can disappear when you need him). Honestly, these drawbacks are serious enough to persuade me not to play the build, because if you use him you have to constantly adapt you play just to make him useful.

Yes... Sentinel felt great for leveling when you had not many active skills to press and track but in mapping it's super annoying....
