leap slam triggering tawhoa
Well, very hard to tell if intended or not but you can imagine how pathetic that looks like when you re just moving around and your tawhoa just does a leap slam , wich is a slam, on a monster. Leap slam is also the movement of skill of choice for a lot of builds. Sure you could just go to flame dash and stuff but just making sure you re aware of this in the light of the rework and now that s it s a mandatory ascendancy to reach the next one.

It is intended, and you can absolutely play a build around Leap Slam with Warcries to exert the slam. Why? Because it is one, read the gem tags. ^^
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

you realize I literraly said in my message the leap slam is a slam

Honestly, leaving fluff aside, there is absolutely no reason to use leap slam as your movement skill and a lot of reasons not to do so. Tawhoa is just one more and a minor one at that.

are you trying to just contradict with the strangest takes possible ? no reason to use leap slam as an attack build with rage on it ? really ? maybe you have mage blood with quicksilver but I dont

Plz there is literally no reason to use Leap Slam in any situation and if you are then you are doing it WRONG! (Sarcasm, that isn't a helpful response above...)
In all seriousness...if you take Tawhoa's chosen and don't want leap slam to proc it then...don't use leap slam. Easy as that. It is a pretty basic concept in this game around all triggers. Maybe leap slam is not the movement skill of choice for Tawhoa slam builds? Its a shame there aren't other choices for movement....oh wait. When I enter an elemental reflect map and I'm using Flame Dash or Frost dash I don't use them because conditions. Same with any other skill. Last edited by jsuslak313#7615 on Aug 14, 2023, 4:36:34 PM

" Just go and fight Sirus or Maven with Leap Slam as your movement skill. Or go and try doing sanctum trap floors with it. Frost Blink/Flame Dash allow you to teleport to a destination, unaffected by anything in your path. Leap Slam means you eat all the debuffs and all the damage while moving. Fluff wise Leap Slam is the obvious choice for a melee build but if you want to do endgame bosses it's just trash, plain and simple. Making fights way harder than they need to be. If fast movement in maps is your concern you don't really need mageblood to have pretty much 100% uptime on a quicksilver flask. I guess if you have 2 gem slots to spare you can employ leap slam + faster attacks for "leap frogging" but that would only be in addition to Flame Dash/Frost Blink and it obviously makes even less sense to so an a tawhoa build. " This. It doesn't matter what your attack speed is, the only travel skill you should even consider is flame dash linked to second wind support. |

It's annoying that it triggers Tawhoa, you can always get the craft to block travel exerts or the mastery. I still think leap slam shouldn't exert attacks by default.
And you don't have to play this game 100% optimally, if you really want to use leap slam you can use it. The game doesn't really require you use specific travel skills. Last edited by e1337donkey#1437 on Aug 14, 2023, 9:18:34 PM
