Any aging gamers? Lets talk Accesability Options: POE is literally getting hard to read
So very quickly not THAT long ago I scoffed and laughed out loud when I saw the jumbo sized mouse cursor you guys put in. Now I want to thank you for it... As I've started using it and its made the game significantly more pleasant to play. I no longer lose the cursor in the on screen craziness.
I'm not allowed to call myself a *oomer because the automod thinks its still a toxic thing people call each other (which was relevant for like 10 minutes 5 years ago). But I'm one of those. Recently both my vision and hearing have taken a turn for the worse. ("Aware" emote here) I can no longer make out the resists numbers reliably and have to squint and move away/closer to try and focus them. I have Windows Font/UI scaling maxed out and a nice new ASUS 27 high refresh gaming monitor, which has improved things but the resists, block, spell suppression and many other numbers are still super hard to actually read because they are orange font swimming on a brown background and seemingly I can't make them any larger no matter what resolution I use. I also am mostly deaf in my right ear. habitually putting my Amp on that side + metal + an inner ear incident during a plane flight... Long story. I can't tell you how much I'd appreciate a mono "mix" option. The hard panned sounds that are great for telling you which direction some loot dropped are actually causing me to not hear that the loot dropped at all. I am not scolding, virtue signaling or waving my finger here. I'm an OG D1-D2 *oomer who will gladly play POE into retirement and to the end of my days... but a little help might be needed. I would also say that I'm not going to be the first or last die hard POE player who's going to need a little help. I wouldn't be surprised if the GGG offices don't have a few as well. Anyway thanks for the things you HAVE already put in. I hope to read my block chance some day in a scalable higher contrast font. Chur Bros. Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4. If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. Last bumped on Aug 9, 2023, 9:11:56 PM

welcome at high age, it's probably sexy cause one moans more often ;)
-- my fix has been getting a bigger monitor cause it also increases the font size because the game first scales it's content to the actual height of the display and then scales the rest of the content to either side left and right. you just have to be careful not to get any of those ultrawide movie screens, i'm fine with very small borders left and right on my 3.840 x 1.600 pixel display age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill! I made a similar post about wanting to be able to change the font size. The reply was bascily, no.

Technically, everyone is aging. I don't know anyone getting younger by the day... :D

accessibility via gui is one thing
another is in game mechanics. i really hate the fact that i m bad with the maven memory game. i cant do uber uber shaper because i m bad at dodging bullet hell. searing exarch is equally bad where his ball phase gets "undodgeable" at times. i m ok with lycia most of the time. i used to be better than this.
