Path Of Exile creating new folders everytime you try to load online filter (FIXED)
ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T WANT TO USE ONEDRIVE ON THEIR COMPUTERS, PEOPLE WHO DO USE ONEDRIVE DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THIS.
This post is for anyone that is facing an issue where an install of PoE (standalone and steam) creates new folders with a variety of unicode characters. All the folders that are created will have '[]/My Games/Path of Exile', where [] is the folder name containing several non-english characters After some hair pulling I figured out that the path that PoE was looking for online/offline filters was 'Users/Username/OneDrive/Documents/My Games/Path of Exile/'. If you uninstall OneDrive you are essentially screwed since PoE cannot find the files and will keep creating new folders with the file structure present in paragraph 1. You will end up with a new folder system everytime you login (and/or) try to access loot filters. STEPS TO FIX 1) Create folders called Documents in your "C:/Users/[]/" 2) Navigate to your OneDrive Documents folder and copy the "My Games/" sub-folder and paste it into the folder created in step 1 3) Go to OneDrive settings, unlink your PC and uninstall. PoE should now work like normal, this also fixes the problem where the client does not remember your last used settings. Last bumped on Nov 8, 2023, 2:37:50 AM

" Yes. And then you click no. It's like scamming yourself vs a trade scammer, just check what you're agreeing to before you agree to it. Be smarter xD |
