Core drop pool
Chris has several times 'recently' talked about the core drop pool, and how important it is. I feel the game has gone in pretty much the opposite direction, with tons of unique items gated behind bosses and other mechanics. At ExileCon, they talked about bosses, and how they will mostly drop currency.

I like the mix of core drop and targeted farming. There is more player agency. Mappers can map and bossers can boss.
It seems there will be less player agency in PoE 2. Gutting Gameplay Gradually

There is nothing worse in a game then having "Rare Uniques" items etc a RNG World drop.
Being able to Target Farm is 1000% Better. They need to change boss difficulty.. Example Sirus 1- Rare unique item has a 0.1% Drop Rate Sirus 2 Rare unique item has a 0.2% Drop Rate Sirus 3 Rare unique item has a 0.4% Drop Rate Sirus 4 Rare unique item has a 0.6% Drop Rate Sirus 5 Rare unique item has a 0.8% Drop Rate Sirus 6 Rare unique item has a 1% Drop Rate Sirus 7 Rare unique item has a 2% Drop Rate Sirus 8 Rare unique item has a 3% Drop Rate Now those %'s would be tweaked to w/e and just an example.. ^ They can't do that anymore because everyone only runs the hardest one or views it as "wasted", trade ensures all drops are baselined if you want a tiered difficulty system to have any meaning they would need to prevent trading boss contracts at all.

I'm all for target farming certain uniques. What I don't think is necessary, is locking certain uniques behind bosses - especially if that unique isn't thematically connected to the boss.
A unique item can both be in the core drop pool and have a 'high' chance of dropping from a boss. Bossing would still be the way to target farm those uniques, but you could also have a lucky moment elsewhere. My point here, is that there are too few uniques in the core drop pool that actually makes you feel lucky. Would it hurt boss farmers that much, if for example Ashes of The Stars would be added to the core drop pool as a T0 unique, but still had a higher chance to drop from Exarch? I'm not advocating to remove all boss uniques, but to add more interesting/powerful uniques to the core drop pool. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. "that's basically where div cards are for no? i mean i agree with you. me personally i don't enjoy bossing. so would ike to have a chance to get them. although i think div cards are a good way to get those. sure u will have trouble getting boss drops like this but it is a way to get them. which i think would be fine. it being in the core loot would be fine if they made it ultra rare like 0.25% chance of finding a mirror kind of rare or something. 3.26 when?
