The timing of ExileCon 2023, given the content, is very strange, but linking it to Bex leaving seems pretty tenuous. I suspect she has known she would leave for a while and told GGG. She just agreed to leave after the con (pun intended).
Does she have kids? That is often a solid reason quit working. Could she be looking for part time work rather than full time? Unless, there is another gaming company in NZ, it is unlikely she is moving to another game company. Could she (and her partner?) be moving abroad?
